Abbey Manor
Situated in rural West Yorkshire, these apartments were built in an extremely sought after an idyllic location. We took a derelict mechanics institute which was in disrepair and converted it into five luxury apartments.
When the purchase was made, we had no planning permission, so the risk was high. Thankfully due to our experience in the industry we were able to obtain planning permission for this 6000 sq ft development within four months. Obtaining the planning permission increased the value of the development fourfold.
As the property is in a conservation area we had to work closely with our planning department to ensure the development met current regulations while retaining the unique features such as the windows and arches.
Abbey Manor laid the foundations for what MDH North is today, valued at £1.45 million and still owned by us today.
This was a restoration project of a historic landmark, using our experience with listed buildings and landmarks we ensured a delicate conversion style. Bringing the building back to life without having an impact on the rich history and character of the building.
